''Freedom's Excised'' (2024) In conversation with ''Prisoner's Excising'' (1890) by Van Gogh, this portrait was captured during a rehearsal theatre program, Voices Unbarred. Voices Unbarred is an advocacy and theatre collective made up of returning citizens that puts on theatre shows that center their lived experiences. shot on 35mm film.
State of Gothic (granddaughter) 2024 *a part of a larger series of photos A reimagining of Gordon Parks' 1942 and Grant Wood's 1930 masterpieces that acts as a temporal meeting of Gordon Parks, his work, and my experience working in hospitality. shot on 120 film.
Esther in a pink headdress (2024) An imagined portrait of Queen Esther from the biblical narrative. This portrait is also in conversation with the artwork ''A Creole in a Red Headdress'' (1840) by Jacques Guillaume Lucien Amans, which seeks to highlight the long-standing nature of women being the keepers of culture. Queen Hera (2024) Commissioned to create promotional material by Spooky Action Theatre for the play ''Cracking Zeus'' written by Christopher T. Hamilton. A complex narrative that examines drug abuse, the black church and Black people as Greek Gods
